Objectives:
The client wanted a quiet but confident press campaign for their well respected and desirable 2012 shoe range.
Approach:
I created an “overhead” look, allying in each shoe from the campaign to the year of launch or what it stood for. For example, Ultimate ‘81 was launched in 1981 along with the Post It note.
For the Fencing, I utilised artifacts from the sport of fencing and imagery from the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.
For the California ‘78s I created a running track and then created a visual interpretation of Route 78 with power cable.
This was then dressed with relevant artefacts of the era.
In all instances, all resources, art direction, retouching and artwork was completed by myself.
Tropfest “Juice”
This is the shot video I produced for Onitsuka Tiger was shown at Tropfest in Sydney (2012) to acknowledge their sponsorship for the short film theme “Juice”. Working closely with my photographer the video was shot and hand manipulated frame by frame for that “stop motion” effect.
